Jennifer Love Hewitt was raised by her mother after her parents divorced when she was 6. Her brother Todd gave her the name Jennifer, after a girl he had a crush on as a youngster; Love was given by her mother after her best friend in college.
Jennifer Love Hewitt showed talent in music since she was young; she made her first public performance when she was 3, at a livestock show singing “The Greatest Love of All.”
When Jennifer was 5, she took lessons in tap dancing, ballet and Jazz, which led to her becoming a member of the Texas Show Team, touring Europe and the Soviet Union.
Jennifer Love Hewitt moved to LA with her mother at the age of 10, at the advice of a talent scout. It proved a wise move as Jennifer was offered a few commercial works and a role on Disney’s “Kids Incorporated.”
The Disney show ended in 1991 and Jennifer starred in some other shows and movies. Her movie debut was an independent production in 1992, “Munchie.”

Party of Five ended in 1999, and the spin-off titled “Time of Your Life” didn’t make the popularity as its prequel and ended prematurely.
In 2000, Jennifer appeared in short series “The Audrey Hepburn Story,” based on real life story of Oscar winning actress, Audrey Hepburn.
Jennifer’s career seemed to hit downfall after that, her only noticeable appearance was probably in 2002 movie “The Tuxedo” co-starring Jackie Chan.
Jennifer Love Hewitt made a successful comeback in popular TV series “Ghost Whisperer” in 2005.
Jennifer Love Hewitt is popular with her acting; probably little known is that she has released 4 albums to date, achieving decent success in Japan in particular.
